A cynical introvert with severe speech impairment, he expresses his anarchist convictions through his graffiti art, often acting recklessly. But when a stunt goes too far, he is forced to betray his friends to save himself. Haunted by guilt he accepts the consequences as punishment hoping to one day redeem himself, literally living out the Passions in real life. Until he finally finds his voice, and commits the ultimate selfless act, in an effort to change himself and the world around him.

An ingenious bon viveur and skillful puppet-master of the menial lives of his subjects, he revels in the beauty of his pristine villa overseeing the Aegean Sea. An art lover and fan of Greek Philosophy and Mythology, he is a man who appreciates good humor and good intentions, but when he realizes that his leniency has been taken for granted, or is blindsided by the repercussions of his relaxed approach to governance, he becomes ruthless. However, like Pontius Pilate before him or any absolute ruler, he is ultimately defeated by his own hubris.

Promoted to this position only a few years before the Occupation, he collaborated with the enemy to protect his flock - and his own interests. A repressed creative in nature, he fosters delusions of becoming a grand auteur, conveniently forgetting the circumstances surrounding his extravagant Passion Play. He may have started off with noble intentions, and he still goes to great lengths to keep his community safe, his actions, however, lack substance, since his greed for power and selfishness have clearly distanced him from the Christian path.

The Enforcer
The Chief of the Greek Security Squad doing the bidding of the Turkish occupiers. An imposing figure of authority, he has accepted his role matter-of-factly, since “it puts food on the table” - which he devours bulimically. He has had enough of his son playing rebel and when he takes it too far, he finally has the chance to “turn him into a decent human” which actually means molding him in his own image. Despite his fiery temperament, he is spineless in the face of truth and only too late realizes the cost of his actions.

A graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (KTHBE), he later served as its Artistic Director and has directed over 40 theatre productions. He has also taught Theatre Directing at the University of Patras and remains active in major cultural institutions. As an actor, he has appeared in films by Yannis Economides, Thanos Anastopoulos, and Stelios Haralambopoulos, including The Knifer (2010), and in international productions such as The Kings of Mykonos (2010), Man of God (2021), and Amazon’s House of David (2025), where he portrays the King of Ashdod. The Security Chief’s right-hand man. A drunk brute who doesn’t say much and always acts out of ill-guided instinct. Constantly under the shadow of Manolis, he both relishes and despises his newly-acquired power as the prodigal son’s watchdog. He is obsessed with Katerina, despite having a wife and son, and loses his mind when Manolis and she start spending more time together. When all tables are turned, he finally starts seeing things clearly, and takes up where Manolis leaves off.
